Among her other distinctions, Ruth Tulving was:
a member of the teaching staff at the Ontario College of Art, Toronto 1969-73;
a founding member of Open Studio Printmakers Workshop, 1969;
a director on the Open Studio Board of Directors, 1970-74;
Vice President of Visual Arts Ontario, 1970-74;
Visiting Artist, Ruskin School of Art, Oxford, England, 1977-78;
President, Ontario Society of Artists, 1983-84;
in the 1980’s she travelled four times to the Peoples' Republic of China on lecture tours presented to Chinese artists, as well as for her solo exhibitions;
she was an Artist in Residence, University of California, Davis (Centre for Neuroscience), 1995-97;
and Artist in residence, Washington University, St. Louis (Department of Psychology), 1997- ;
she makes her home in Toronto, Canada where she lives with her husband of 50+ years, world renowned memory scientist, Endel Tulving; and
she has two daughters, Elo and Linda, and five grandchildren.
