Ruth Tulving, RCA is an Estonian-born painter and printmaker. 

Coming
to
Canada as a young teen, and passionate about art, she enrolled in the Ontario College of Art.  She graduated  at the top of her class in 1962 and was awarded the Lieutenant Governor’s Medal.  She pursued post-graduate studies at the legendary l' Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris, France, and later at the University of California, in Berkeley, California.  She has exhibited widely throughout North America, South America, Europe and the People’s Republic of China with many solo exhibitions.  A recipient of numerous awards and prizes, she was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy
of Arts in 1977.  Most recently she has become best known for her magnificent “Butterflies”, a series that she has been painting since 1999.
